We are happy to help and will do our best to accommodate your requests, but we cannot guarantee your files will reproduce successfully if supplied in any other format than those listed above.

Note: Skywings Magazine, The BHPA or Fargher Design Ltd will not be held responsible for unexpected or unintended reproduction results relating to artwork supplied by a third party. Any agreement entered into with Fargher Design Ltd or other agency to supply artwork is an entirely separate agreement to the sale of advertising space in Skywings magazine.

All publicity advertising the sale or hire of new and used aircraft or the training of pilots must conform to the BHPA¹s conditions of acceptance as set out below. Advertisements must not be misleading, untruthful or indecent. The publisher (BHPA) reserves the right to withdraw any advertisement it deems to be unsuitable for publication.

Please note: Members¹ discounted rate classified advertisements are available only to BHPA members or Skywings subscribers advertising privately. Traders, whether members or not, must pay the full rate.

It is the advertiser¹s responsibility to include details of the current airworthiness certification status, however we reserve the right to add this information to advertisements where it is missing - See below.

All Skywings advertisements are accepted under the following conditions...

1 New hang gliders and paragliders

All advertisements for new hang gliders and paragliders will carry one of the following two clearly legible statements:

BHPA, EN, DHV, LTF, SHV, or HGMA Certification (depending on the certification authority) - In this case each model and size of glider advertised must have this certification. With paragliders the certification classification must be stated, e.g: EN A, LTF 1-2, etc. It must be clear which sizes and models the certification applies to.

No certification - This statement will apply in all other cases.

2 Used

A. HANG GLIDERS: Classified advertisements and traders¹ display advertisements for second hand HANG GLIDERS should include either of the two clearly legible statements or no statement at all.

BHPA, DHV or HGMA Certification - The glider offered for sale has this certification and carries a verification label to that effect.

Registered - The glider has been previously registered under the BHPA Airworthiness Scheme and carries a verification label to that effect. (A new owner must apply to re-register it with the BHPA office.)

B. PARAGLIDERS: Classified advertisements and traders¹ display advertisements for second hand PARAGLIDERS should include either of the following two clearly legible statements or no statement at all.

DHV/EN/LTF/SHV Certification - The glider offered for sale has this certification and carries a verification label to that effect. The certification classification must be stated, e.g: EN A Standard, LTF 1/2, etc.

Registered - The glider has been previously registered under the BHPA Airworthiness Scheme and carries a verification label to that effect. (A new owner must apply to re-register it with the BHPA Office.)

No statement - In the Ono statement¹ case for both used hang gliders and used paragliders, it is implicit that no certification exists or that no certification status information has been supplied.

3 Advertisement for training

Advertisements for UK-based training are accepted only if the centre offering the training is a BHPA member club or, where this is not the case, the BHPA club providing the training is named in the advertisement.

BMAA schools may advertise FLPA training; advertisements should be clearly marked BMAA approved¹.

Advertisers offering ab-initio training overseas are encouraged to identify the governing body to which they are affiliated and whether an IPPI Card qualification is offered.

4 Deadlines

Once you have booked your ad, changes and cancellations can be made by e-mail or telephone up to the monthly deadlines which are: bookings, cancelations and amendments to bookings by the 10th of the month prior to publication (eg 10th April for the May edition); copy to be supplied by 17th of the month prior to publication (eg 17th April for the May edition) Any bookings, amendments or cancelations made after this deadline will be carried over to the following month. If you wish to cancel and receive a refund, please contact us before the booking deadline by e-mail requesting a cancelation.

5 Classified lineage ad notes

Skywings classified lineage ads are published in the printed magazine and the electronic (PDF) version on the BHPA website. Please note that the online version is updated each month around the same time as the printed magazine goes out for distribution.

We use PayPal's payment, notification and confirmation system which restricts text entries to 30 words. So, if you type more than 30 words into the main text entry box, there's a very good chance the PayPal system will trim it back to 30 words.

Remember! to include your contact details, email and/or phone number.

If for whatever reason you wish to make any changes, you can do so easily and freely by email at this link. But remember, you must have already booked your ad through PayPal before we can accept such changes and you must use the same email address as the one you used via PayPal.
